About Laura Turrittin

Laura Turrittin supports members in northern Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota in her role as Mortgage Relationship Manager. Laura has more than 25 years experience in the mortgage industry. She has held senior leadership roles across various respected financial institutions, with a proven track record of driving sales, enhancing operational efficiencies, and managing complex change processes, including mergers and acquisitions. Known for her collaborative approach and deep commitment to relationship-building, Laura is a trusted advisor to partners navigating the complexities of today’s mortgage landscape. She feels fortunate to champion the mission of FHLB Des Moines and advocate for our members.  

Laura lives in Minnesota, where she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the great outdoors, pickling jalapenos and watching "Ted Lasso". She appreciates FHLB Des Moines' support of community involvement and volunteers with various community organizations. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College. She’s also on a personal mission to find the best cookie in every city she visits. Recommendations welcome!
