About Laura Turrittin

As the mortgage relationship manager for Northern Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, Laura Turrittin brings over 25 years of experience and a deep passion for mortgage services to FHLB Des Moines. Known for her dynamic leadership and strategic insight, Laura excels in building strong, lasting relationships with customers and partners. Her extensive background in sales, operations and relationship management positions her to provide exceptional service and support in the mortgage industry.

Laura graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in English and has held leadership roles across various prominent financial institutions. She has a proven track record of driving sales, enhancing operational efficiencies and managing complex change processes, including mergers and acquisitions. Her recent role as Regional Mortgage Manager at First Bank & Trust saw her lead teams across Minnesota, achieving notable success in sales and customer service delivery.

Laura is also actively involved in her community, serving as a Girl Scout leader, participating in the Paint-A-Thon, supporting the Simpson Housing shelter, and leading the GROW women's mentorship program.
