About Katie Sudmann

Katie Sudmann is the mortgage relationship manager serving members across Alaska, Idaho, southern Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

With over 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry—including roles as a loan originator, processor, and underwriter—Katie brings deep expertise and a strategic perspective to support institutions participating in the MPF® Program, partnering with members to deliver guidance on best practices, program participation, and emerging features and products that help drive success.

Since joining FHLB Des Moines in 2014 as an MPF trainer, Katie has led the mortgage relationships support team for more than seven years before stepping into her current role in 2025. She actively contributes to the MPF Sales and Product Management & Development (PMD) and Operations, Technology, and Implementation (OTI) committees, where she plays a key role in shaping program enhancements that reflect the evolving needs of members.
